Frequently Asked Questions

How many guests will The Kessel Building accommodate?  Our beautiful building is the perfect size for up to 150 of your guests (max capacity is 250), and the courtyard for up to 300+ guests.

What is included in my rental? 10 large round tables and 100 chairs, 8 cocktail height tables, a Large Commercial Refrigerator, a Commercial Warming Cabinet for food.

When is payment due and is it refundable? Payment is due 60 days prior to the event. Once paid in full, it is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Are tablecloths or linens available? Yes, we  can provide and launder these for only $15 per table.

Is there plenty of parking?  Yes, there are over 50 parking spots within a city block.

Are electrical outlets accessible?  Yes, there is plenty of electricity for a DJ, Band, or any other electrical needs that you may come across. 

Is Alcohol allowed?  Yes, BYOB is our policy! You are responsible and liable for the amount of alcohol your guests have. Ask about our preferred vendor for bar services!

Are you allowed to take our tables or chairs outside to the courtyard?  No!! Our tables and chairs are expensive and heavy, therefor we do not allow them to go outside. If you choose to do so, that will forfeit you getting your deposit back!

How long does my rental last?  Rentals last from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. the following day.

Do you have access to catering?  Yes, we have a list of preferred vendors that we highly recommend that will do a fabulous job!

Do we have to use your caterers?  No, feel free to use whoever you'd like, we just recommend our vendors because we know them personally and know they do a great job.

Is lodging available nearby?  Yes, the Slaton Harvey House  is only about 10 blocks away and is a fantastic Bed & Breakfast!

What is required to secure a date? We require a deposit and our contract to be filled out.

Do we get our deposit back? Our deposit is only refundable AFTER the event has happened and if the building is left in the conditions it was in upon arrival. If you cancel your event, your deposit is non-refundable.

Something came up and I am needing to postpone my event or change dates? I am so sorry, but once your date is booked, there is no transferring dates!

Can we pay by cash, check, Venmo or CashApp? Yes! If you pay by Venmo or CashApp, we require a 2% fee added on to your rental fee to cover the charges.

Can we cancel our event? Yes, but your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Does the deposit apply to our rental fee? No, it is separate.
